The contest

Contest Rules are in place for the long term, regardless the imperatives imposed by potentially irrational and/or potentially illegal governing regimes in Canada or in the USA.

Contest Rules may be modified or added to by the Production Team, by a simple majority vote, as necessary.

This is a Volunteer group of Leather folk seeking Volunteers in the the consent-based-sex sex, Leather, fetish and kink Community to compete for the Title of Mr. Lake Ontario Leather.

All Contestants for Mr. Lake Ontario Leather must reside in or work in the Drainage Basin/Watershed for Lake Ontario, in Canada or in the USA, not including those for Lake Erie and the other Great Lakes, for at least 90 days prior to the date of the Competition.

Areas within the Drainage Basin/Watershed include cities, towns and neighbourhoods not limited to: Watertown to Buffalo, and Niagara Falls to Kingston, plus further inland, as proscribed.

All Contestants must be male or male-identifying.

All Contestants must be 21 years of age or older as of the date that you register for IML in Chicago (see Title Holder Duties of Mr. Lake Ontario Leather) as an International Contestant (their designation); Proof of Age will be a government-issued photo identification (Driver’s License, State or Province ID, or Passport)

Because this is a Bi-National Title, and travel across the Canada/USA Border will be mandatory for the Title Holder, Contestants must have a valid Passport or other approved international travel documentation (i.e. expedited driver’s license) to enter this Competition.

Should the Title Contest Winner no longer be able to fulfill their Title Duties, by choice or by circumstance, the Production Team will elevate the First-Runner-Up to hold the Title. The Production Team reserves the right to leave the Title vacant for extenuating reasons, should it be deemed necessary, until the following, planned, Mr. Lake Ontario Leather Contest.

The Title Holder shall hold their Current Title until the next Contest-winning Contestant is announced.

The Title Holder will not be limited to just the following rules, below, but will be encouraged to make a difference in the lives of others in the consent-based-sex sex, Leather, fetish and kink Community and in the wider Community, of their own initiative.

The Title Holder will:

• behave, in public and in private, in ways befitting a consent-based-sex sex, Leather, fetish and kink title holder, and shall uplift their Title and Leather in the eyes of the general public and the consent-based-sex sex, Leather, fetish and kink Community.
• make the effort, in good faith, to attend and participate in Pride Festivities in their home location and in Toronto, and in at least one other location in the other Nation that they do not reside in. They may choose to attend and participate in more Pride Festivities outside the Lake Ontario Drainage Basin/Watershed, also.
• make the effort, in good faith, to register for, and to, compete in, International Mr. Leather, as Mr. Lake Ontario Leather; the Bi-National Title based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the calendar year of their Title.
• sit as one of the Judges for the following-year's Mr. Lake Ontario Title Contest.
• make the effort, in good faith, to assist in the organisation, planning, and running of the following-year's Mr. Lake Ontario Leather Title Contest, as a valued member of the Production Team.
• encourage members of the consent-based-sex sex, Leather, fetish and kink Community to Compete for Mr. Lake Ontario Leather, through outreach and through personal contacts, during their Title Year.
